From my own personal experience, I know reading and searching for information on the internet carries with it a lot of apprehension. Is the information you find true? Are the people writing and posting legitimate, and can their statements be backed up?
To take the uncertainty away for you from the very start, I’ve included in this section testimonials from doctors and practitioners who’ve treated me and colleagues who’ve worked with me in the past. Testimonials from women who’ve participated in my programs are included on the respective pages throughout the site.
I’m happy to provide other information within certain limits. Please contact me directly to discuss.
“I worked with Sharon over many years and was struck by the gift she has to capture in words, the emotional, personal edge to events and relationships that she experiences. Her ability to generate a strong reaction from her readers and audience is something marvellous.”
Andrew Stevens, Non Executive Director and former Managing Director of IBM, Australia and New Zealand
“Sharon provided wonderful advice to kick start my business and make a name for myself. Ten years later, I am the author of a best selling book, lecture extensively both in Australia and abroad and have a healthy home column in Body+Soul liftout that has a reach of over 2 million people. You’re amazing!”

Dr Jane Reffell
“I first met Sharon as a patient in February 2012 at a weight of 37kg, which as a doctor was very confronting and presented major medical problems.
Sharon and I worked through our differences: I felt she should go into hospital and she felt that she needed to eat real food. We agreed to agree on the food bit and disagree on the hospital bit. With the support of two other complementary practitioners, Claudia and Cassandrah, the three of us set off on Sharon’s journey back to health.
It has been a privilege to watch Sharon as she has slowly but consistently increased her weight and recovered her health. She chose to embrace food as her medicine, real food (whole foods), organic and fresh, of all types. She threw out food group restrictions and supplements, welcoming all whole foods into her diet gradually and intuitively; eating with enjoyment and thoughtfulness.
The interesting thing was that as she did this she became very aware of how her body was reacting, changing and growing with the different foods. These are the messages we have lost in the noisiness of modern eating with all it’s processing, packaging, restrictions, mind chatter and learned patterns of behaviour around eating.
As a doctor it has been an enlightening experience to be reminded that food is where our body has always gained its nutrition and to move towards, once again, seeing food as a healer and a delight rather than as a problem that can undermine our health.”
Dr Jane Reffell, General Practitioner (GP) Women’s Health and Wellbeing
“Sharon is, quite simply, a remarkable example of what can be achieved when you put your heart and mind to something. When I first met her, three years ago, I knew there was a long hard journey ahead of her. Not too many people would have been able to do it. Only someone who was willing to change their entire life and be consciously aware of all aspects of themselves, their diet and lifestyle, would have been capable of overcoming such complex health challenges”
Cassandrah McKay, Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner
“When I first met Sharon she sat in front of me frightened, with endless questions no one could answer, weighing just 37 kg, on a quest to find healing and answers.
It’s hard to imagine this now, seeing the beautiful radiant woman she’s transformed into. As is often the case in moments of crisis, Sharon was raw, honest and vulnerable, but at any stage of her journey she was the one who healed herself; not the doctors, practitioners or myself who treated her; it was her incredible spirit, her life affirming attitude even on the brink of such a dangerous illness. She never gave up, never lost her honesty, never lost her drive to change, to risk everything for the sake of finding her inner truth and healing.
Once she physically improved, an exiting new creativity started to unravel, where beautiful words enable her message to be shared and enjoyed by many.”
