I’m a writer, blogger, presenter and mentor based in Byron Bay, Australia. A former corporate executive, in 2012 I traded in city life for the tranquil and picturesque NSW Northern Rivers to heal from a chronic illness. My writing, presentations and workshops are inspired by my own experiences and observations of people and life.
After completing a Bachelor of Economics at Monash University, I spent 12 years working in marketing and communications at Price Waterhouse, PricewaterhouseCoopers and IBM Australia. In my time there I managed employees; organised events and conferences; oversaw the Asia Pacific internal communications function during both a merger and acquisition; and spent several years as ghost writer to two managing partners/directors.
In the early noughties I departed the safe and protected shores of the corporate world for the volatility and excitement of becoming a self-employed business consultant, wellness educator, writer and presenter. With a growing interest in holistic wellbeing, I also undertook studies in nutrition and food as medicine at the Australian College of Natural Medicine in Melbourne. Early on in my new career I developed a niche in the organic food industry with my client base including Macrowholefoods and an advisory board position with the Organic Federation of Australia.
The next seven years were spent in my self-coined ‘university of life’. The perspectives and insights I formed through my years of illness have shaped me to become a leading pioneer with an alternative slant on wellness, food and being a woman.
