The next question, What bread do you eat? Nearly always sourdough and living in Byron Bay, I’m spoilt.

Down the road, tucked away at The Farm in Ewingsdale are some of the best bread makers ever; The Bread Social. Artisan bakers, the guys there know their bread from their bread. Using ingredients that are all Australian, organic and as local as possible, I feel overwhelmed with choice when I visit their shop or various outlets. Their traditional sourdough is still the best seller, but with varieties like potato, rosemary and olives; fruit and nut; pecan and chocolate; roasted garlic: spelt and an amazing focaccia, this is a must stop visit if you are visiting the Byron region.

Eating good quality bread made with wholesome ingredients and lots of love has helped me make the shift from a gluten-free diet to one that includes wheat products on a regular basis.
